Empowering Youth Through Civic Engagement

Last week, our My Chi. My Future. (MCMF) youth visited the Portage-Cragin Branch Library for a day of learning and civic engagement! 🗳️📚

During their visit, youth explored the many resources available at the library and participated in a Voter Engagement Workshop, where they learned about the importance of voting as a tool for community change, how to research candidates, and how to identify who is on the ballot.

Some of our youth even took the opportunity to cast their ballots through early voting! 🙌

A special thank you to Jessica, Branch Teen Librarian, for welcoming our youth and helping make this experience possible. We're proud to see our young people learning, getting involved, and making their voices heard! 💙
